The story is very unique and captured my imagination almost immediately. I love the characters and all their interactions. I didn't want to put it down and finished the book in 3 days with a one-month-old baby (quite a feat, I think). I can't wait for the next one - I really want to know what happens next!
I am so glad to see a novel new series that my students can get into. The authors have hit upon a winning theme. I read the book in one sitting, becoming increasingly interested in how the story would unfold. It was evident that a humanitarian outlook was just below the surface. I will recommend this series to my students; and look forward to reading the next book in the series myself ) LDK
